
Oyster Safari & Oyster Stout
The day begins at 10:00 AM at Dansk Skaldyrscenter.
Wearing waders and carrying a bucket, we head out on an oyster hunt, gathering the delicate oysters directly from the Limfjord. Along the way, a biologist will share valuable insights about oysters. After the safari, we will shuck the oysters together—these will later be used in the beer production. A glass of wine will be served before we continue to FJORD Brewery & Distillery.
At around 12:00 PM, the brewmaster at the brewery will be ready to receive the fresh oysters for brewing, and a guide will take you on an exciting tour of the new brewery, beautifully set up in the historic customs building.
After the tour, we will gather in the Customs Chamber, where we will enjoy the beer-infused oysters and a cold draft beer in cozy surroundings.
To wrap up the day, you’ll have the opportunity to pre-order Oyster Stout—beer infused with the very oysters you helped collect.
The beer will be ready for bottling after approximately 1.5 months and can be shipped upon request.
